My name is Eli and my whisky journey began a few years ago. Mainly with American whiskey but as I learned more and more about world whiskies and single malts in particular I was hooked. So on this blog I plan on putting out my thoughts and personal ratings on various bottles of whisky and anything else relating to whisky. I hope you find this blog to be a helpful source and a good accompaniment to the already vast whisky forums/blogs on the internet. Fair warning some of my reviews may not be the most update in terms of latest releases but rather ones that I pull out of my own whisky cabinet.
About My Ratings
While whisky is very diverse I like to keep things simple when it comes to rating whisky. I use a simple amber+/- scale for color(a bit irrelevant) and light / med- / med / med+ / full for the body. Then the usual nosing and tasting, but none of that subjective descriptions. As far as grading I use a simple star rating system.

 Good albiet somewhat mediocre. |

 Excellent. Highly recommended. |
 Truly exceptional. Some of the world’s best whisky. |
